Strategic goal of Corporation development for the next 5 to 7 years is to achieve status of a world class company in the sphere of aviation products development and production.

Being a highest-level system integrator, the Corporation is positioning itself in the following market niches:

·        Trainers, light combat airplanes;

·        Light and medium class unmanned aerial systems;

·        Military freighters and amphibian aviation.

Being a final assembly company, the Corporation will continue delivery of the Su-30MKI/MKM type multifunctional aircraft to the market.

            Aiming towards business development out of the military sphere, the Corporation will extend its presence in the market of commercial aircraft components, as a subcontractor to foreign and domestic manufactures.

Product line formed by the IRKUT Corporation determines basic directions of research work and development/technological activities, corresponding needs for design and production facilities as well as generates requirements to control system automation at both design and functional levels.

            In the sphere of merger, the Corporation defined the following basic vectors:

·        Purchase of advanced technologies, intellectual property rights for existing scientific developments that will contribute to creation of new surplus value in a short and medium term prospective;

·        Change over to single stock of existing subsidiaries within establishment of a vertically integrated structure;

·        Being the biggest private company in the Russian Military Industry Complex and in the light of branch companies' consolidation process the Corporation studies feasibility of some aviation building assets that are presently under control of the Russian Government.

Taking into account a global importance of Asia-Pacific markets, Corporation plans call for establishment of strategic partnership with some leading aviation companies of this region countries.

As one of priorities, the Corporation is considering constitution of corporate alliances with European and North American companies treating them as an optimum way to set up international industrial co-operation as well as a stimulus for own renewal in both technological and management spheres.

Strengthening of own positions in the global market, the IRKUT Corporation regards as promotion of competitive products and as improvement of marketing activities' efficiency. Taking into account the revival of the national armaments' market, the Corporation will strive for becoming one of lead prime-contractors in its market segment.

In the sphere of the corporate governance, the Corporation aims to full compliance with the Corporate Governance Code requirements. A priority direction in this sphere is generation of a stable balance between management and share holders interests, ensuring of minority share holders rights, informational transparency, involvement of professional independent directors into work of the Directors Board.
