Main / Products and Services / Prospective Programmes / Multipurpose Unmanned Aerial System / IRKUT-10
While performing round-the-clock monitoring of the Earth’s surface in adverse weather conditions, the IRKUT-10 system implements gathering of the photo, TV and IR imagery in the real-time mode, processing of imagery obtained from payload sensors, and determination of coordinates of ground targets designated by operator. This system comprises two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a ground control station, and maintenance and support equipment.
While loitering for 2 hours, the UAV transmits the data acquired from the payload sensors to the ground control station at up to 70-km distance, in the real-time mode.
The UAV is hand-launched with the use of the portable catapult, and performs “belly” landing by means of the parachute to any unpaved/unprepared pad or road section, with no special airfield support required.
Time to prepare the UAV for the flight, including preflight tests, downloading of flight task and preparation for start, does not exceed 15 minutes.
Built with the use of composite materials, the UAV features high durability and a relatively low weight, and can be rapidly assembled and disassembled without any special tooling.
The IRKUT-10 system features employment flexibility due to the ability to employ various payloads depending on the mission to accomplish, as well as low operational and life-time costs. One of its major advantages is the high level of operational autonomy due to minimal need for the airfield support facilities.
