The Onboard Safe-Maneuvering System (OSMS) predicts three-dimensional dynamics characteristics of the aircraft in flight, determines oncoming dangerous maneuvering modes, and assists the pilot in avoidance of critical situations.
The Russian Avionics Design Bureau has developed this system and successfully tested a pre-production sample on its own flight simulator, with high estimations of test pilots. Recently, installation of this system in a number of passenger and transport aircraft has been started.

OSMS reveals critical situations and, as danger increases, activates various modes, one after another or in various combinations:
- warning on approaching dangerous flight modes;
- warning on necessity of immediate actions to lead out of dangerous situation;
- generation of commands on automatic elimination of dangerous situation;
- generation of the command on ejection.
